School-Counseling Progam
Greetings from Ms. Kim & Counseling Program Overview
The School Counseling Program at Belmont Redwood Shores School District (BRSSD) is committed to supporting each student's social and emotional development to ensure they can thrive both academically and personally. Here are some areas we provide support as school counselors:
Conflict Resolution and Cooperation: We help students navigate and resolve conflicts, such as those from recess, by teaching skills in cooperation and effective communication.
Self-Control and Emotional Regulation: For students facing challenges with self-control, we provide tools like Zones of Regulation and mindfulness practices to help them manage their emotions and behaviors.
Support During Family Transitions: We can also offer support for students going through family changes, such as divorce, moving, or grief, creating a safe space for them to connect with peers experiencing similar situations.
Overall Goal: Our program aims to ensure that every student feels supported and empowered to thrive academically and personally.
Feel free to contact us if you need any assistance or have concerns about your child’s well-being.
