PTA Fundraising

WHY AND HOW TO DONATE

Central PTA supports every student at our school. In partnership with our school district and our education foundation, SchoolForce, we help to make sure that our kids receive an incredible education. Our annual PTA budget covers field trips, classroom supplies, teacher training, and more. We have partnered with SchoolForce and to make a one-time fundraising request during the Educational Commitment Campaign, or ECC. The first $275 of your donation to the ECC made between July 15, 2023, and October 31, 2023 will come directly to our Central PTA to fund all of these vital community activities and support our teachers and students. We hope that you will consider making a donation in any amount to help us budget for and provide many important opportunities for students here at Central. Examples of PTA Programs made possible by ECC donations at Central include: 

- Teacher training & supplies

- Art Programs (including dance)

- Vocal Music Programs

- Technology in classrooms

- Classroom materials

- Playground equipment

- Community Events such as: Ice Cream Social, Discovery Day, Fall Fun Day, Holiday Craft Fair, Color Run

- Staff Development

- Hot Lunch Program

- Expanding libraries in classrooms

- Educational/Cultural Assemblies 

- Field Trips

- Monthly Teacher Appreciation Lunches

- Parent Education

Examples of what SchoolForce funds at Central include*:

- Field Trip buses

- Specialized and credentialed teachers like Ms. Kim who teaches Social Emotional learning

- Reading teachers to help those students struggling with reading

- Outdoor Ed transportation

- TK-5 Physical Education

- Librarian

- Music teachers

Unfortunately California state funding does not provide sufficient resources to deliver the quality of education Central has historically provided.  PTA members support each of these programs and more, through their donations and through their many volunteer efforts in a variety of areas – in the classroom, as technology gurus, through running special events, and by organizing PTAs many special programs and services.
