Congratulations Central Elementary! |
Dear Central Families, I am thrilled to announce that Central Elementary is being recognized as a 2020 California Distinguished School awardee! The California Distinguished School Award is given by the California Department of Education to public schools within the state that best represent exemplary and quality educational programs. Approximately 5% of California schools are awarded this honor each year following a rigorous selection process. This is quite an honor and a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of our Central students, staff, and community. In his letter, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Thurmond gives thanks to the “...teachers, administrators, classified employees, and parents who are working together to meet the needs of all of their students to provide high-quality educational experiences, and put kids on a pathway to great careers.” Congratulations on this achievement, and thank you all for continually fighting for a better future for our kids. Sincerely, Chris Marchetti |
