Central PTA
Central Elementary is recognized as one of the Peninsula's finest public elementary schools. Our involvement as a community of parents is a critical factor to ensure Central continues this standard of excellence. The Central PTA provides critical programs and resources that benefit every Central student. Your volunteer time and financial donations directly impact your child's classroom and school - immediately enriching the quality of your child's education.
Thank you for supporting the Central PTA!
WHY AND HOW TO DONATE
Central PTA supports every student at our school. In partnership with our school district and our education foundation, SchoolForce, we help to make sure that our kids receive an incredible education. Our annual PTA budget covers field trips, classroom supplies, teacher training, and more. This year we are partnering with SchoolForce and making a one-time fundraising request called the Educational Commitment Campaign, or ECC. The first $250 of your donation to the ECC made between August 1, 2022, and October 31, 2022 will come directly to our Central PTA to fund all of these vital community activities and support our teachers. We hope that you will consider making a donation in any amount to help us budget for and provide many important opportunities for students here at Central.
Examples of PTA Programs at Central include:
- Teacher training & supplies
- Art Programs
- Vocal Music Programs
- Technology in classrooms
- Classroom materials
- Chrome Books
- Discovery Day
- Staff Development
- Hot Lunch Program
- Expanding libraries in classrooms
- Educational Assemblies & Field Trips
- Community Activities
- Parent Education
State funding does not provide sufficient resources to deliver the quality of education Central has historically provided. PTA members support each of these programs and more, through their donations and through their many volunteer efforts in a variety of areas – in the classroom, as technology gurus, through running special events, and by organizing PTAs many special programs and services. We hope you will join us in building our community and enhancing all of our children’s educational experience.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are the heart of our Central PTA; it is through over 14,000 annual volunteer hours that we make our programs go! We ask that each Central family volunteer in some way, each year. Please visit the volunteer page to sign-up to be a volunteer.
PTA MEETINGS
Our PTA Association Meetings are a great opportunity to learn more about PTA at Central. At each meeting, our Principal shares important information about what is happening around school, and PTA Officers give budget and committee updates. PTA Members vote on important items including spending proposals and the annual board slate. Please join us and help do the work of PTA!
Association Meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month, on alternating months, and usually last about an hour. Executive Board Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month. Please contact the PTA President at president@belmontcentralpta.org for additional meeting information or to schedule an agenda item. Thank you!
