Parent involvement and support are key to creating the great learning environment that is Central. The primary avenues for parent support are the PTA, School-Force!, and on-site volunteerism.
Central's PTA supports the school through parent volunteers and fundraising for a myriad of programs, including Field Trips, Hot Lunch, classroom materials, and book drives. Check the ABCs of Central and the list of PTA Committees for a more complete list of PTA-sponsored programs and events.
School-Force! is a non-profit foundation that provides funding for music, science, libraries, and technology throughout the Belmont Redwood-Shores School District. Parents support School-Force! through donations and by volunteering for fundraising events such as the Save the Music community festival.
Many parents also support the school directly through their volunteer efforts in the classrooms, library, computer lab, etc. Talk with your child's teacher and/or contact the PTA to volunteer -- there are opportunities for virtually every schedule and skill set!
Your contribution to the school community is important and valued.
