About 1st Grade at Central
At Central, 1st grade teachers lay the foundation for lifelong learning through an engaging and dynamic education program. Every child is treated with dignity and respect as we work to prepare all students for tomorrow’s opportunities and challenges.
We provide academic excellence through an innovative curriculum that is aligned with the California State Standards. We recognize that every child is unique and differentiate instruction based on their needs. On any given day, our students may be scientists studying chlorophyll in our pizza garden, authors reading their works aloud to the class, engineers constructing geometric designs, and artists creating masterpieces.
Through a partnership between family, school and community we provide the best possible learning experience. Our parent volunteers and special guests provide for a rich and exciting program. Together, we develop the gifts and talents of each and every student.
