Enrollment Information for 2019-2020

Please view the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District website for next year's enrollment information: https://www.brssd.org/online-enrollment.

The district website is very informative and tells you everything you need to know about registering your child, including important dates and documents needed for each school. You can view the 2019-2020 enrollment timeline, TK/Kindergarten visitation details, immunizations needed, etc.

Online enrollment for 2019-2020 starts on January 4, 2019.

Students already assigned to Central and planning to continue need not do anything. Present Grade 5 students will receive information for their registration from their teachers regarding Middle School registration procedures.

State Reporting on Central School’s Performance

Last month, Our Superintendent Dr. Milliken sent out an update mentioning the California School Dashboard, which is a new public school performance reporting system that has results for both BRSSD and Central.  Please take some time to check it out!  I’m proud to share that BRSSD earned the highest ranking in academics, while Central students (and teachers) scored in the highest range in all four areas.

Attendance

While student attendance is not a significant concern at Central, it is important to remember that when students are absent, they miss instruction, teachers have to take time to help them catch up, and the school loses $50/day in revenue.  These costs hold true regardless of the reason for absence and whether the absence is “excused” or not. As you think about your winter break arrangements, we want to stress the importance of sending your child to school every day unless they are ill.
